HOW TO APPLY

The Asebi Foundation encourages applications who meet the following criteria:

  

  • Maintain African nationality;
  • Be a recent graduate of a tertiary institution (1-3 years) or in the final year of undergraduate studies at a tertiary institution;
  • Possess an excellent record of academic achievement, indicated by academic standing (e.g., First Class, GPA);
  • Maintain a desire to accelerate Africa's sport industry and a passion to partake in furthering Africa's development, more broadly;
  • Have no criminal history;
  • Be an emerging leader in Africa's sport ecosystem, having made contributions (broadly defined);
  • Have a proven track record of leadership within a community, region, or country;
  • Exhibit the capacity to positively influence sports in Africa and beyond;
  • Illustrate exceptional verbal and written English skills;
  • Willingness to work in cross-cultural environments; and
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ethical leadership, curiosity, innovation, entrepreneurship, integrity, and accountability.


A completed application includes:

  1. A completed application; and
  2. A letter of reference from a professor or working professional who can speak to the applicant's capabilities and achievements.


For the upcoming application cycle, each applicant should email their completed application to contact@asebi.org no later than February 1, 2024. Please type "Asebi Foundation Internship Application [applicant's name]" in the subject line.  


The Asebi Foundation board of directors will meet at the beginning of the new year to discuss and make final decisions on applications. Each applicant will be notified via email about their application status no later than March 15 of the calendar year.
